Queer Connections YQR is a safe haven for queer and allied youth in Regina and area. Formed in 2023 it continues to provide its members an opportunity to use their voice to speak up about what challenges they are facing in their day to day lives. The group has established a queer library to showcase queer identities and help the 2SLGBTQIA+ identities combat misinformation about the queer community. Alongside the queer library, the group has adapted a “Queer Closet,” for individuals to donate clothing and/or browse the selection for gender affirming clothing and gender affirming gear. Queer Connections focuses on building connections within the community by hosting fun events and inviting queer elders in the community to come and speak. This year Queer Connections is excited to host their first ever drag show and their second year of queer prom.
